Mathematics enjoys a high profile at Longcot and Fernham Primary School, so we like to ensure that the diversity of the mathematics curriculum and the fact that mathematics is 'undeniably awesome' is celebrated throughout the year.

At Longcot and Fernham Primary School, all teachers use the White Rose Mastery Mathematics Scheme from the White Rose Maths Hub as a foundation to build their planning. Each lesson is designed to suit the needs of the learners, so activities are customised to suit the needs of each child. We strive to ensure that each child develops a deep understanding in number and shape and a fluency in arithmetic which will enable them to succeed as citizens who are both confident in numeracy and have a love of all things mathematical.
