Attendance

Attendance Matters

School attendance is incredibly important to us at Longcot and Fernham CE Primary School. We know how clear and robust the evidence is in demonstrating the link between good attendance and positive academic outcomes. We will always do our best to support you with any issues around school attendance and welcome you to come and speak to Mrs Robins or Miss Hall (or class teachers) if you need support with this. Please do not be upset or offended if we make contact about attendance. We believe in keeping you informed about your child's percentage attendance and supporting wherever possible.

Our school target for attendance is 96%. We share information of how we are doing against this target in our schools newsletters.

In August 2024, there was a change to the Department for Education guidance and statutory expectations around school attendance. We wrote to all our families at the start of term in September 2024, to outline this guidance and change. The letter is available below.
