Personal, Social, Health and Economic (PSHE) Education including Relationships Education

Curriculum Intent

All children at Longcot and Fernham Primary school will be provided with the relevant knowledge to help them navigate their world. Through a whole school approach to PSHE and Wellbeing, we strive to teach children how to develop positive relationships with themselves and others, build resilience, emotional awareness and nurture their mental and physical health.  

Jigsaw

Jigsaw, the mindful approach to PSHE, is a progressive and spiral scheme of learning. In planning the lessons, Jigsaw PSHE ensures that learning from previous years is revisited and extended, adding new concepts, knowledge and skills, year on year as appropriate. The Jigsaw approach to PSHE was introduced in January 2024.
